SYNOPSIS
En la Periferia nos lleva al corazón de una industria, la del rock en el Estado de México, a una economía subterránea que cada fin de semana toma vida con la participación de varias docenas de agrupaciones musicales, que van desde pequeñas audiciones en terrenos baldíos y galerones hasta grandes producciones con eventos masivos de cinco o diez mil asistentes. En este universo de rituales, símbolos y códigos, nos acercamos al trabajo de ocho bandas: Bostik, Tex tex, Liran´roll, Luzbel, Rebel´d Punk, Follaje, Transmetal y Juan Hernández y su banda de blues.
En la Periferia muestra a través de estas 8 bandas (con un promedio de vida de 30 años, y que por supuesto, no son las únicas, primeras o últimas en esta escena), todo un movimiento musical que sigue vivo, funcionando y que ha sobrevivido a cualquier tipo de embestida desde que el rock llegó a México.
SINOPSIS
At the outskirts brings us to the heart of an industry, the rock and roll at the State of Mexico, to an underground economy that every weekend comes alive with the participation of several dozen musical groups, ranging from small auditions in wastelands and warehouses to large productions with mass events, with five or ten thousand people. In this universe of rituals, symbols and codes, we approach the work of eight bands: Bostik, Tex tex, Liran'roll, Lvzbel, Rebel'd Punk, Follaje blues band, Transmetal and Juan Hernandez and his blues band.
At the outskirts shows through these 8 bands (with an average life of 30 years, which of course, they are not the only, the first or the last in this scene), a musical movement that's still alive, running and has survived any kind of attack since the rock came to Mexico.
